Access and use

The owner authorizes Gmail read-only access through Google OAuth. This permission allows reading email messages, headers, settings, and attachments. The intended use is finding receipts and preparing expense records. It does not grant permission to send, modify, or delete email.

Storage and processing

OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's server using an encrypted file keyring. Receipt information and generated records may be saved on that server and in owner-managed backups. Data remains until the owner deletes it; no automatic retention deadline is currently configured.

When the owner requests AI analysis, selected email or receipt content may be sent to the owner's configured OpenAI service for extraction and categorization. Processing is subject to that account's applicable settings and terms. This tool does not independently train a general-purpose model on Gmail data.

Sharing

The tool does not sell Gmail data or use it for advertising. Data is used for the owner's receipt workflow and the processing described above, not published on this website.

Control

The owner can revoke access through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized access but does not delete previously saved records; the owner must separately delete local exports and backups.

Limited Use

OpenClaw Receipts' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
